Myth
Felted wool, Contact paper
2014

From 2012:

Myth responds to the folklore surrounding a mystical Maine mammal, the moose. I have yet to see a moose and am constantly warned about them by colleagues: their prehistoric size; the subsequent damage they can do to my car if hit; their apparent lack of reflective eyeballs. Myth is a life-sized model of male moose antlers constructed from felted sheep and alpaca wool. The physical lightness and texture of the piece allows for the model to be easily handled but also reinforces the mythology attributed to this creature that I can only hope to eventually encounter peacefully and from a distance.
